INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
DUE TO THE CURRENT GLOBAL CLIMATE AND COVID-19 PANDEMIC WE WILL NOT BE SENDING INTERNS TO KIRIBATI UNTIL SUMMER 2022. HOWEVER, REMOTE INTERNSHIPS ARE AVAILABLE.
APPLY BY EMAILING A RESUME TO INFO@KINDLINGKIRIBATI.ORG
WHAT WILL I BE DOING AS AN INTERN?
Each internship is tailored to the intern’s skill set and aspirations. We are looking for interns from all backgrounds and expertise. While our core program is microlending, we are looking for people with not only a background in business but proficiencies such as education, computer science, agriculture, engineering, communication, or others as well. Each intern will work with our team to create a project and duties to align with their personal goals and to help promote and grow our organization.
Kiribati based interns will spend a semester or approximately 90 days on the main island of Tarawa in the country of Kiribati. These dates align with the Fall, Winter, or Summer university semesters but are flexible.
Remote interns will join our team for a weekly online meeting and assist our program through different projects.
“If I could describe my experience in Kiribati in one word, it would be this: Humbling. I am grateful for all of the life-building experiences that Kindling Kiribati provided me. I would 10/10 recommend doing this internship to any of my peers.”
– Isaac H.
