Meet Erene – a borrower from 2023
Meet Erene, a graduate and first-time loan recipient. Before getting involved with Kindling Kiribati, she used to sell takeaway foods in Bonriki, with little success. She enrolled in our business class to learn the technical aspects of becoming an entrepreneur. Upon graduating, she received a loan of 400AUD to reinvigorate her takeaway business and get herself back on her feet. With the proper skillset and capital, she has been able to turn her business around.
